Our Philosophy
At Darlaston Pro / Am Boxing Gym, we believe that boxing is more than just a sport; it's a way of life. Our philosophy is rooted in discipline, respect, and personal growth, encouraging members to excel both in and out of the ring.
Established in 2015, we are an England boxing Affiliated club. The gym has outstanding facilities which include X2 rings, a wide range of bags, cardio equipment including HITT rower, SKI, and bike machines.

Tony is the founder and Head coach at Darlaston Pro / Am Boxing Gym. Tony a very well known former boxer who had over 80 bouts for Wednesbury in the 80s and offers over 40 years of experience in the sport. Since opening the club in 2015 the club has vasty expanded and has become one of the most respected boxing gyms in the Midlands.

Elaine is the front of house guru who everyone sees prior entering the gym. Elaine and her counterpart Niki are the beating heart of the gym. Elaine takes the cash, makes a top notch cuppa and most importantly she is the clubs welfare officer which is an integral role within the club. Elaine has 3 children who all box for the club and without doubt she is fundamental to the gyms operations.

Niki is the part front of house team along side Elaine. Niki is also an integral part of the setup here and coordinates everything in the gym from cleaning ,to sorting shows, sorting bouts for our boxers and everything in between . Niki also has a daughter that boxers for the club and without doubt Niki's contributions are apart of DBGs success and growth.

Kieron is the son of founder Tony and brings a wealth of knowledge as he was brought up on the sport. Kieron has been a coach since '20 and in July '25 passed his EB LV 2 qualification, along side this Kieron has been a BBBofC Pro Coach / Second since' 22. Kieron is also the clubs secretary .

Anthony has been at the gym since '23. and has been a EB LV 2 coach since July '25 Ant has a mixed martial arts background and was a competitive Kick boxer in his younger days. Ant has really found his feet and is not only a top coach is an asset to the club and a face that you regularly see on the amateur circuit.

Shane is a EB LV 1 coach with a wealth of boxing knowledge who boxed for Tipton as an amateur and will soon be apart of the pro line up along side Tony and Kieron. Shane also has a daughter that boxers for the club

Matt has been an EB LV 1 coach at the gym since Jan '25. Matt as like Ant, found him self re-igniting his love for boxing when his daughter joined the club. The former boxer has become a key part of DBG coaching team and is an asset to the club and another face that you regularly see on the amateur circuit.

Liam was involved with boxing for a number of years prior to joining our coaching team. Liam is a PT and has become a key member at DBG Liam likes to focus on 1-2-1 and bring out the best in each boxer. Liam also runs the social media accounts along side Kieron.

Sophie W is our youngest coach and latest recruit to the DBG coaching team. Sophie mainly focuses on the junior boxers as she is also an EB registered boxer for DBG

Harry is another EB LV1 coach who was welcomed on to the coaching team after medical reasons stopped him from boxing early this year.
